Parlington Village – Update
As you may be aware, Leeds City Council are currently consulting on revised proposals for the Outer North East as part of the Site Allocations Plan, with several proposed housing sites in the area, being Parlington, Wetherby, Scarcroft, Boston Spa, Bardsey, Bramham, Scholes and Thorp Arch.
To reiterate the comments of our Ward Councillors in the letter to residents dated 14 October 2016, residents have the opportunity to make their views known on the proposed plans in our area – the deadline for doing so is 5:00pm on 7th November 2016.
For more information please visit the Site Allocations web page for the Outer North East. Here you can view the interactive map of proposed sites by clicking on the red “Interactive map of sites” button, and can submit your comments to Leeds City Council before the deadline by clicking the red “Submit comments on the plan” button:

Aberford & District Parish Council will shortly be canvassing the views of all residents in the village and, once the results have been collated, will be submitting an appropriate response on the Site Allocations Plan by the set deadline (5:00pm on 7th November 2016). Following the Parish Council meeting held on the 18 October 2016, it was agreed that the Parish Council will instruct a Planning Consultant to assist with completing and submitting a valid response.
Please note, the response made by the Parish Council is considered and recorded as one response and the Parish Council cannot comment on behalf of individual residents – to submit your comments, please do so as detailed above before the deadline.
The second of two drop in sessions being held by Leeds City Council is at the John Rylie Centre, Barwick in Elmet, Thursday 20th October 2016, 2.00pm – 8.00pm.
A public meeting organised by a community led group will be held at Aberford Village Hall on Friday 28.10.16 at 6.30pm, and all available Parish Councillors will be in attendance.
