COMMENTS RELATING TO KING CHARLES III

The Parish Council has been made aware that one of its Councillors has made comments referring to King Charles III on Social Media and of comments made by the same person in the book of condolence in Leeds Civic Hall. The Chair of Aberford & District Parish Council has made the following statement.
“Tyler Callum Wilson is a Parish Councillor on the Aberford & District Parish Council. He was not elected to the position, he sought election but was  unopposed and was therefore automatically appointed to the vacancy on the Parish Council earlier this year. He does not live within the parish and he has not attended any Parish Council meetings since April 19th 2022, the only meeting he has attended.
The Parish Council was not aware that Councillor Wilson would make this entry in the book of condolence and his comments do not in any way represent the view of the Parish Council.
The Parish Council’s statement on the sad loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was posted last Friday, 9th September, and can be found on this website at https://www.aberford-pc.gov.uk/2022/09/09/her-majesty-queen-elizabeth-ii/
