Parish Council Grants

The Council has set aside funds in the current (2024-25) financial year so that voluntary organisations who have a project that will be of benefit to the Community can apply for support. Suitable applications are always welcome and Councillors are willing to offer informal advice and guidance as required.

Ridge Road Energy Community Fund 2024

Our Ambitions

 The Ridge Road Energy Community Fund has been created to support local projects and groups located within a three mile radius of the Ridge Road biogas facility, however there is room for flexibility in some circumstances.

We aim to be a positive force in the local community providing economic, social and environmental benefits to the local community in which we operate.

We also aim to work closely with local residents and stakeholders to ensure that local community benefits are seen directly as a result of our support.

Our Support

 Each year the fund will be open to applications for financial support from eligible organisations within a chosen radius of the biogas facility. A fund of £7,500 per annum will be available for selected projects/organisations who meet the funding requirements. This community fund will be available every year over the operational life of the plant, with new projects and groups being selected each year.

Any project/organisation within a 3-mile radius of the site, however under exceptional circumstances proposals from projects or groups from over 3 miles away will also be considered.
