Council Owned Land

Within Aberford village the Parish Council owns three plots of land, namely:

1. An area around the bus turning circle at the north end of the village.

2. Pump Hill

3. Land at Beckside, incorporating the Play Area and land either side of Cock Beck (“the old ford”).

These plots were “left over” following the Enclosure Acts of the 19th century, and have been subsequently vested in the Council by the High Court, to be held for the ongoing benefit of all Aberford residents.
